Picky Dog who loves SMACK
"My mini poodle is very picky and after many brands I have tried, SMACK is the only food she will eat. She has more energy now, her digestion and output is much better and I am no longer struggling to get her to eat. Thank you for making this great product."

Percy was in congestive heart
"Percy was in congestive heart failure and had no appetite. He was losing weight even though we were offering hin everything we could think of--raw fish, cooked chicken, raw or cooked pork, beef, eggs, liver, Smack. One day he would choose one food only to turn his nose up at it a day later. Smack Very Berry Chicken was the only thing he would eat consistently. He is on new meds now and doing better. He has regained weight and is eating--eagerly even sometimes. And Smack remains a favourite!"

Wouldn't be without our SMACK !!
"My two dogs (Golden Retriever and Afghan Hound) love this recipe! They have it every morning for breakfast, which is easier than feeding thawed frozen raw food so early, and on the very occasional morning when one of them is not hungry, I can put it back into the storage bin - no waste! I also like that, if I had to travel somewhere overnight, it is easier to take with us than their frozen raw, and there would be no complaints - just happy crunching! :) Your customer service is also wonderful!!!"

Smack dog food.
"My little dog, a Pomeranian/Jack Russell mix, likes both chicken flavours and the pork flavour. She does not like the fish flavours but will eat some once in a while. I use her Smack for treats and as an addition to her meals. I like that there are fruits and vegetables in the mix."

My picky senior dog loves Smack.
"So far, so good. My senior rescue boy has been a little picky about what he eats for a long time and now that his best buddy has passed away, he has become even pickier. I saw an ad for a different dehydrated food which I tried. Jasper liked it but I wanted something made in Canada and available at my local pet food store. I bought a small bag of Smack and he loved it."

Q&A
How many cups of food does the largest bag have in it?
Hi there! There are 25 cups in the 5.5lbs (2.5kg) bags. The weighted measurement for Smack is 100g per cup.
Hey there! I’m wondering about the taurine level in these foods. Is there added taurine?
Hi Emily, thank you for your question. All of our taurine comes from our bone-in meats, as well as the organs that are included in our recipes. The amount for dogs, as well as their respective recipe can be found listed below for your reference. Due to the natural state of our ingredients, there will be variances between recipes, so the percentages listed below are the minimum amount of taurine that will be contained in each bag of Smack: Prairie Harvest Pork 0.22% Caribbean-Salmon Fusion 0.29% Rockin' Rockfish 0.23% Chunky Chicken 0.23% Very Berry Chicken 0.26%
My dog loves Smack chicken flavors and thought I would try the Pork and can not get him to eat it .... I bought from a local pet store not online. Is there anything I can do ? Exchange open bag ? Or am I stuck with it?
Hi Amanda, we have a 60-day Satisfaction Guarantee: We honour refunds/returns/exchanges if there is ever any issue with our food -- or if a dog doesn't like/eat the food (VERY rare as most pets really love Smack -- but it does happen). If you purchased it in a retail store, just bring back the bag and your receipt to that store and they will provide a replacement bag or refund.
Is Smack dog food grain free??? Do you have something for our yorkie but with grains? She is only 3lbs Thank you
Hi Janusz, all Smack recipes are completely grain free. If you wish to feed grains, there's always safe grains you can add into your pet's diet such as brown rice. It is important to note that grains often act as a filler in most pet foods. And even if they're "grain-free" they often have other fillers such as peas, potatoes, lentils, legumes etc. in place of grains.
